Charles Beck, Vice President / Director for Radio and Television

Charles oversees the programming and daily operations of MPBN's legacy "old media" services;  radio and television.   He enjoys and is dedicated to helping to ensure that both the radio and television services of MPBN provide the most valuable trusted services it can for its members, viewers and listeners; knowing that these unique services are now more important than ever in our rapidly changing and complex world.   He has been working in various radio on-air and management capacities (primarily radio) at MPBN since 1980, having worked in commercial radio before that.

Charles was born in Dearborn, Michigan and has lived in Maine since 1973; before that he resided in Michigan, New Jersey, and in Europe (Italy and Sweden). He holds Bachelors' degrees in both Music and Broadcasting from the University of Maine, and a Master's degree in Communication from Indiana State. Charles has taught several introductory broadcasting courses at the University of Maine. He resides in Belfast and has two almost totally incredible sons, Forrest and Carson.
