Lynnsay Maynard joined MPBN in October 2007 and can be heard Saturday afternoons and evenings and often on weeknights. Lynnsay began working in radio as a volunteer at WERU-FM in Blue Hill, as part of the Teen Talk Show where her responsibilities included recording and producing pieces for spoken word programs. Lynnsay is the Independent Candidate Editor of Scoop08.com, and has had articles published in the Bangor Daily News and the Boston Herald. Lynnsay interned with Congressman Mike Michaud and has volunteered with various local socially-active groups.

Her remarkable poise and on-air delivery belie her youth. Born in Biddeford, Lynnsay graduated from Hampden Academy in 2007. She is a student at the University of Maine (Class of 2011), currently in her second year as a journalism major. A lover of books and black coffee, Lynnsay plans to move to New York City after completing her undergraduate degree and hopes to have a chance to study abroad for a year in the meantime.

Founded by the University of Maine System and Colby, Bates and Bowdoin Colleges.
