Maine Public Broadcasting Coming to Brunswick to Discuss Public Broadcasting in Maine |
 The next Maine Public Broadcasting Network town meeting is being held in Brunswick on Monday June 22 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 p.m. in the Lancaster Lounge, Moulton Union at Bowdoin College. It's part of a series of town meetings being held across the state in the coming year to obtain feedback about the public’s media consumption habits and how they might be changing over time. The meetings are part of a concerted effort by MPBN to effectively plan for the next five to ten years amid a rapidly evolving media landscape. |

Calais FM Transmitter on Temporary Low Power |
 A serious problem developed last week with MPBN's WMED-FM transmitter in Calais according to Senior Techincal Officer & Senior Vice President Gil Maxwell.
MPBN is running at reduced power due to a problem with the antenna mounted at the top of the tower. Maxwell says, "assement crews have determined that the antenna will need to be removed from the tower and repaired, hopefully at the site." |
