MPBN and USDA Rural Development Unveil Plans for $750,000 Grant Award

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network and the USDA Rural Development will share plans for critical upgrades to infrastructure which is being funded by a USDA Rural Development grant of $750,000. This "open house" event will take place at the Maine Public Broadcasting Network Studios at 63 Texas Avenue, Bangor on Tuesday, January 29th at 10 a.m.

MPBN Car Talk Vehicle Donation Event to Run Through October in Westbrook

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announces the launch of a three-month long promotion at the Sunset Ridge Golf Links in Westbrook Maine for the months of August through October. MPBN has placed a car as a driving range target at the facility to raise up awareness for the MPBN’s Car Talk Vehicle Donation Program.

MPBN Joins #GivingTuesday Launch

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announces the launch of PBS LearningMedia on MPBN.NET as a new educational offering available to educators across Maine. PBS LearningMedia, a partnership of PBS and WGBH Educational Foundation, is a web-based resource that provides PreK-12 educators with access to free digital content for their classrooms designed to improve teacher effectiveness and student achievement.

MPBN Announces an MPBN Downton Abbey Football Conflict Support Line

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is announcing the creation of a resource line formed for households in conflict Sunday, January 20 between watching the end of the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens game and the airing of Episode 3 of Season 3 of Downton Abbey. The automated line – 207-330-4549 – will direct callers to alternate viewing times of the show.
