The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announces its upcoming broadcast of the Maine Principals’ Association High School Basketball Tournament in partnership with the New England School of Communications and Time Warner Cable and special resources to follow the entire tournament.

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is announcing that after an extensive national search, Clare E. Hannan was chosen to be the Vice President for Administration & Chief Financial Officer for MPBN. Hannan officially joined MPBN at the end of 2012.

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network announces the upcoming launch of the Maine Capitol Connection on Tuesday, February 5th. The Maine Capitol Connection is a free over-the-air television channel and cable channel devoted to providing public access to the political processes of the Maine State Legislature in Augusta.

 The Maine Public Broadcasting Network is announcing that it will again provide full and detailed coverage of Governor Paul LePage’s State of the State address on Tuesday, February 5th beginning at 7:00 pm. Coverage will be state-wide on MPBN Radio, MPBN Television including on MPBN’s Maine Capitol Connection channel, and streamed LIVE on MPBN.Net. This will be the first time the State of the State is presented in High Definition.

The Maine Public Broadcasting Network and the USDA Rural Development will share plans for critical upgrades to infrastructure which is being funded by a USDA Rural Development grant of $750,000. This "open house" event will take place at the Maine Public Broadcasting Network Studios at 63 Texas Avenue, Bangor on Tuesday, January 29th at 10 a.m.
