At the urging of its Board of Trustees, MPBN has undertaken a comprehensive strategic planning process. In September 2006, a core working group, comprised of Senior Officers of MPBN, a Board member, a volunteer professional consultant, and a volunteer intern began reviewing and discussing this organization’s history, current operating and financial environment, and the larger currents of change within the industry and our society. The charge to this group has been to formulate a clear and measurable strategic plan for FY08-FY12 that articulates what we do best at MPBN, why it is important and what results we will produce. This fully-vetted plan recognizes and reflects the reality of circumstances in which MPBN presently exists, while looking resolutely towards the future that we hope to create.
