Governor Paul LePage is once again recommending the elimination of 100 percent of state funding for MPBN, effective July 1, 2012. A similar proposal just last year was rejected by the Legislature. The Republican governor said during a visit to South Paris last week that state finding for MPBN is, “corporate welfare.”
