Maine Live is a web-exclusive live concert series that takes listeners -- wherever in the world they happen to be -- to intimate venues all over Maine to experience the great live music happening throughout the state. What's more, many of the artists also allow MPBN to post the audio from these concerts right here on our web site, so even if you missed the show as it happened, you need not miss a minute of the music.
The American Folk Festival on the Bangor Waterfront: It's a Wrap!
MPBN streamed the entire American Folk Festival on the Bangor Waterfront from our booth right next the festival's main stage, the Railroad Stage. Heavy rains from tropical storm Danny may have forced the cancelation of the entire day's performances from the Railroad Stage on Saturday, but we still managed to get two days of performances recorded and you can hear those performances by clicking on the audio links below.

Rustic Overtones at the Waterville Opera House - December 28, 2007 |
MPBN was a proud sponsor of a rare acoustic performance by Maine's own Rustic Overtones along with eleven student musicians on December 28th, 2007 at the Waterville Opera House, a concert that MPBN streamed live on the Internet, digitally recorded, and is now offering here in its entirety as both a downloadable podcast and as streaming audio. The students performed orchestral arrangements of the band's songs written especially for this concert by Rustic Overtones horn players Ryan Zoidis and Dave Noyes.
