He's been called "America's fiercest climate-change activist blogger" by Rolling Stone, which also ranked Joe Romm number 88 on its list of top 100 people who are reinventing America; and this year Time Magazine called the blog that Romm edits -- climateprogress.org -- one of the 25 best. A former assistant secretary for energy efficiency during the Clinton Administration, Romm was in Portland today to meet with some local officials and followers of his blog, which has plenty of criticism for the president, the press and especially climate change skeptics, who he says helped to thwart Congressional efforts to pass a compromise climate change bill.
