| Portland-based jazz pianist Ahmad Hassan Muhamed graduated from Bowdoin College earlier this year, and you could say he hit the ground running. Just five months later, the 22-year old musician is out with his first album, called "Fly", and he's about to go on a national tour. |

Ahmad Hassan Muhamed (left) graduated from Bowdoin in May. Five months later he recorded his debut album "Fly", accompanied by Adam Frederick on bass and Phil McGowan on drums.
The album, he says, took shape in his mind throughout his senior year. The Ahmad Hassan Muhamed trio will be performing at One Longfellow Squrae in Portland on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 8:00 p.m.
