School officials say one person died in the crash, but that the school bus driver and the three students who were on board didn't suffer serious injuries.

BRIDGTON, Maine (AP) _ Authorities are investigating a fatal collision between a school bus and a car in Bridgton, Maine.

Bridgton police say the accident happened just after 7 a.m. Monday on Route 302.

School officials told the Portland Press Herald that one person died in the crash, but that the school bus driver and the three students who were on board didn't suffer serious injuries.

A stretch of Route 302 was shut down following the collision, with traffic being detoured down side roads.
