| If you have any spare funds left after the recent retail splurge, today is the day to consider those who are less fortunate. After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, we now have a new philanthopic initiative called Giving Tuesday. Maine Things Considered host Tom Porter speaks about the initiative with Laura Young, vice president of philanthropy at the Maine Community Foundation, and Adam Tuchinsky, associate dean and history professor at the University of Southern Maine, where he teaches a course called Thoughtful Giving: Philanthropy and American Culture. |
