Landlords can hook up with potential renters on a new state-sponsored Website. The MaineHousing Authority says it now has nearly 10,000 apartments listed on its new free Website service, MaineHousingSearch.org, which matches up landlords and renters.
The Website launched last month, includes listings from nearly 400 landlords, says MaineHousing Director Dale McCormick. Mccormick says both market rate rentals and publicly-owned or assisted apartments are included on the site.
After landlords register to use the site, they can enter detailed information about their rental properties. Renters cansearch listings by location, cost, size, and other factors.
"This is a great help for both landlords and renters," McCormick says in a statement. "It is available online 24-7, and the site is supported by a call center that ensures listings remain current and that people without an Internet connection can access the information."
