Maine Lobster Assesssment Meetings Postponed

State officials say the meetings scheduled for Jonesport, Machias and Gouldsboro, had to be postponed due to the illness of a key staff member.

Public forums scheduled for today and tomorrow by Maine's Department of Marine Resources to discuss the state's lobster industry have been postponed.

State officials say the meetings had to be postponed due to the illness of a key staff member.

The meetings were scheduled for today at 11:00 a.m. in Jonesport and at 4:00 p.m. in Machias, and for tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in Gouldsboro.

New dates for the meetings, aimed at getting public comment on Maine's lobster industry, have not yet been announced.
