It was a big day at the inaugural for a Bethel, Maine man: Richard Blanco was selected to deliver today's inaugural poem. Titled "One Today," the poem paid homage to the American experience.

At age 44, Blanco is the youngest-ever inaugural poet. In his poem he paints vivid scenes of America, including reflections on his experience growing up as a Cuban exile in New York City and Miami.

Blanco is the first Hispanic, and the first openly gay, person to serve as inaugural poet. Past inaugural poets include Robert Frost and Maya Angelou.
