UPDATE: Maine Court: Judge Should Decide on Zumba Trial
01/28/2013 1:28 PM ET

Maine's top court says the trial judge should rule whether to move forward with the case against a key figure in a prostitution scandal centered at a Zumba dance studio.

ALFRED, Maine (AP) _ Jury selection came to a stop Friday after the judge dismissed 46 of 59 counts and prosecutors appealed.

On Monday, the state Supreme Court said Justice Nancy Mills is in the best position to decide whether to proceed on the remaining 13 counts against Mark Strong Sr. while that appeal is pending.

The dismissed counts deal with violation of privacy of prostitution clients allegedly videotaped without their knowledge.

Mills had agreed with the defense that people engaging in a criminal act forfeit the right to privacy.
