Maine Marine Commissioner: Cuts Create 'Tremendous Hardship' for Groundfishery

The latest cuts in cod catch limits is delivering a crushing blow to an industry in Maine that is already a shadow of its former self. The groundfishing fleet today is a fraction of what it was 20 years ago, and cod landings are down more than 90 percent since the early 90s. Maine Things Considered host Tom Porter speaks with Maine Department of Marine Resources Commissioner Patrick Keliher about what the cuts mean for Maine's groundfishery and economy.
