Authorities say thirty-six-year-old Hilda Howe of Farmington Falls died in the crash early Wednesday morning in Vienna.

VIENNA, Maine (AP) _ Maine State Police say speed is a likely factor in a one-car crash in Vienna that caused the death of the driver.

Thirty-six-year-old Hilda Howe of Farmington Falls died in the crash early Wednesday morning. Police say Howe lost control of her 2003 Mercury Mountaineer on the Tower Road just after midnight.

The SUV overturned several times before coming to rest upright against some trees. Howe, who was not wearing her seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle. She was alone at the time of the crash.
