BANGOR, Maine (AP) _ The weekend snowstorm has caused problems for a pair of churches in Maine.

Two Methodist churches, one in Brewer and one in Hampden, suffered from burst pipes and water damage following the weekend storm.

The associate pastor at the Hampden Highland Church says a powerful wind blew a window open, allowing cold air into an addition that was built 10 years ago. The Rev. Reeni Cipullo tells WZON-AM that the cold air entering the building caused a pipe to burst. She notes that the loan on the addition was just paid off.

In Brewer, officials say cold air whipping through the attic of the Brewer United Methodist Church causing a pipe to burst. The building is more than 100 years old.
