Biddeford Shooting Victim Identified
03/26/2013 03:30 PM ET

Authorities have identified a body found in a car parked in a Biddeford apartment complex lot as that of Charles Raybine, 47, a Biddeford resident.

The death of a Biddeford man early this morning is being investigated as a homicide.

Authorities have identified the victim as Charles Raybine, 47, a Biddeford resident. An autopsy on Rabine's body is underway at the state Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta, state public safety officials say.

Raybine's body was found after reports of a shooting at about 12:45 a.m. in the parking lot of the Parish Place apartments off Birch Street. Authorities say Raybine was shot inside the car.

Police say Raybine had a lengthy criminal record. He was shot four times in Old Orchard Beach in 2003 in what police at the time described as a drug-related shooting, according to The Associated Press.

Authorities say the car in which Raybine's body was found has been taken to a state police facility, where it will be examined for evidence.
