Norwegian energy company Statoil recently received financial approval from the Maine Public Utilities Commission for its Hywind Maine pilot project.

An offshore wind project that would use the world's first floating wind technology has moved to the next stage in the development process.

Norwegian energy company Statoil recently received financial approval from the Maine Public Utilities Commission for its Hywind Maine pilot project. Project manager Kristin Aamodt says that approval, along with a federal grant, represent a major milestone.
