Police: Man Threatens Woman in Park

The woman told police that an unknown man came up behind her while she was walking her dog and told her he had a knife.

BANGOR, Maine (AP) _ Maine police are looking for a man who threatened a woman while she was walking her dog in a Bangor park.

The woman told police that an unknown man came up behind her in Second Street Park on Monday morning, told her he had a knife and tried to pull her toward a cement wall.

Police say the woman was able to break free and run to the police station.

The suspect is described as an older man, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, with a thin build and scruffy gray hair on his face.

He was wearing a tan vest, gray sweatshirt and blue or black winter hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bangor Police
