Maine State Police Participate in Boston Investigation

State Police Chief Col. Robert Williams says the Maine Information and Analysis Center has been involved in the investigation since Monday.

Maine State Police officials say the agency has had a couple of direct roles in the aftermath of Monday's Boston Marathon bombings.

State Police Chief Col. Robert Williams says the Maine Information and Analysis Center has been involved in the investigation since Monday.

"As late as last night at 11 o'clock we got a request to research information," Williams Says. "So they've continually been researching information for investigators down there, particularly in information that would be pertinent to Maine or may reside in Maine - the information that is."

And Williams says a state police detective with technological expertise has been assigned to the investigation in Boston.
