LEWISTON, Maine (AP) _ Firefighters are battling the third major apartment fire in Lewiston in a week.

Authorities say more than 100 firefighters responded to the scene of a blaze on Bartlett Street reported at about 3 a.m. Monday.

Chief Paul LeClair says four buildings were involved, including two that are vacant.

It appears that all residents made it out of the other buildings safely and there were no reports of injuries.

More than 180 people have been left homeless by two previous fires in the past week, one last Monday and one on Saturday. All three were in the same general area.

Two 12-year-old boys are facing arson charges in connection with the prior blazes.

There was no word on the cause of the latest fire.
