A Texas man hiking in Baxter State Park was air lifted off a mountain peak after being injured by a falling rock.

Park officials say Ned Hamara, 62, was hiking on a trail that leads to the summit of Mt. Katahdin when a large rock dislodged and fell on him.

The rock struck Hamara's shoulder, and he also suffered a foot injury, according to The Portland Press Herald.
