The fallout continues from the recent railway disaster at Lac Megantic in Quebec which left 50 people dead when a runaway train carrying crude oil burst into flames. Under intense scrutiny right now is Edward Burkhardt, CEO of Rail World Inc., the parent company of Maine Montreal and Atlantic Railways which operated the train that crashed. A one-time hero of the railroad industry, Burkhardt is now, according to one news report at least, regarded as public enemy number one in Canada. Anthony Hatch is an independent transport analyst and rail industry expert, based in New York he spoke with MPBN News' Tom Porter about what might be in store for Mr. Burkhardt.
