SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ Officials are searching for a possible rabid fox that attacked four people in South Portland, Maine.

Police say a man told police that a fox jumped through the open window of his pickup truck and bit him on the arm while he was parked in a Home Deport parking lot at about 6 a.m. Tuesday.

While investigating the attack, officers were approached by a jogger who said he was attacked by a fox but was able to kick it away without being bitten. A man and a woman who were camping in nearby woods then called police at 7 a.m. reporting they'd been attacked and bitten by a fox.

Officials say the campers were getting medical treatment. The fox has not been located.
