Biddeford Co's Heating Devices Harness Off-Peak Electricity
11/04/2013   Reported By: Irwin Gratz

Houlton's municipal power company has signed a five-year contract with Thermal Energy Storage of Biddeford. It will allow customers who buy the company's thermal heat storage devices to save the equivalent of about $1.35 a gallon over the cost of oil heat. As Thermal Energy Chief Operating Officer Sam Zaitlin tells MPBN Morning Edition host Irwin Gratz, there could also be wider benefits down the road.
