UPDATE: Police Investigate After Bullets Hit Auburn Home

Police say someone opened fire at the Newbury Street apartments at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, breaking windows and leaving pock marks on the side of the building.

AUBURN, Maine (AP) _ Police are investigating a drive-by shooting in Auburn, Maine, in which somebody fired about a dozen shots at an apartment building.

Police say someone opened fire at the Newbury Street apartments at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, breaking windows and leaving pock marks on the side of the building. Nobody was injured.

Witnesses said they saw a sport utility vehicle fleeing the scene.

During their investigation, officers arrested a man after they said they found crack cocaine, marijuana and $3,500 in cash in a second-floor apartment.

Twenty-six-year-old Gary Wallace was charged with drug trafficking and marijuana possession. He's being held on $15,000 bail.

It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
