Stockholm Man Charged with Sexual Abuse of Infant
11/18/2013 03:05 PM ET

Officials say Benjamin Rossignol, 21, took graphic photos of the baby and posted them on the Web.

A Stockholm man has been arrested on child sexual abuse charges involving a 1-month-old girl.

Maine State Police say Benjamin Rossignol, 21, (right) was arrested earlier this month, and is being held on $10,000 bail.

Officials say Rossignol took graphic photos of the baby and posted them on the Web. The images were discovered by federal investigators, who then contacted state officials.

Rossignol was arrested Nov. 8 at his home on Red Row Street in Stockholm. He's been charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, dissemination of sexual explicit material, possession of sexual explicit materials, and unlawful sexual contact.

Rossignol made his first court appearance last week, and the case was continued to February. If Rossignol does make bail, he will be barred from unsupervised contact with children under age 16, officials say.
