Dresden Woman Gets 3 Months for Role in Robbery

Prosecutors say the 24-year-old woman wrote a note that threatened violence, but it was her brother-in-law who committed the robbery.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ A Dresden woman who wrote a robbery note for her brother-in-law and checked to see if there was a line at a Bath pharmacy's counter before he robbed it has been sentenced to three months in prison.

Devin Alexander was also sentenced Thursday in federal court in Portland to three years of probation for her role in the June robbery at the Bath Walgreens.

Prosecutors say the 24-year-old woman wrote a note that threatened violence, but it was her brother-in-law, Nicholas Alexander, who committed the robbery made got away with hundreds of oxycodone pills. He was sentenced earlier to two years and fourth months in prison.

Devin Alexander's lawyer tells the Kennebec Journal  that his client is happy with the lenient sentence.
