UPDATE: Topsham Teen Arrested in Brunswick Shooting
02/11/2014 11:32 AM ET

Authorities say Brenden Christopher Jasper, 18, was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with reckless conduct and other charges.

An 18-year-old Topsham man has been charged in connection with a shooting into a Brunswick home Sunday night.

Authorities say Brenden Christopher Jasper was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with reckless conduct and other charges, the Bangor Daily News reports.

Authorities say a gun had been fired into a McLellan St. home through an exterior window. The bullet struck a television set, which exploded. The flying glass caused minor injuries to a 20-year-old woman in the residence.

Police say they believe Jasper fired the gun from a vehicle in which another person was riding at the time, and they've identified another suspect. They told the paper that as the investigation continues, more charges are possible.

A shotgun was recovered from Jasper's apartment. Authorities say the gun doesn't belong to Jasper.

Police told the paper that the shooting appears to be in retaliation for an incdient that occurred between Jasper and a male occupant of the Brunswick apartment.

Jasper is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court on April 22.
