Police say the father lost control of the car in Merrimack and hit a concrete barrier, killing Kobe Huynh, 14, a student at Auburn Middle School.

AUBURN, Maine (AP) _ Police say a Maine middle school student was killed in a three-car crash on New Hampshire's Everett Turnpike Friday night.

The Lewiston Sun Journal reports that 14-year-old Kobe Huynh of Auburn - a student at Auburn Middle School - was pronounced dead at the scene.

New Hampshire state police charged the boy's father - 37-year-old Nghia Huynh - with felony aggravated drunk driving.

Police say the father lost control of the car in Merrimack and hit a concrete barrier. The car rolled into oncoming traffic and was struck by another vehicle, which was struck by a third car.

Auburn Middle School principle James Hand says the teen ``will be sorely missed.''

It could not be determined if the father had a lawyer.
