The future of Maine's paper industry was the topic of a forum today in Portland. Faced with volatile energy costs and the challenge of global markets, the industry is looking for new ways to remain competitive. John Williams, president of the Maine Pulp and Paper Association, talks about what he sees ahead for Maine's pulp and paper industry and the implications of proposed merger between Verso Paper Corp. and NewPage Corp. He spoke with Tom Porter.
