Auburn Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges

Members of the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested Philip Jackson, 67, this morning at his home in Auburn.

An Auburn man is facing child pornography charges after state police detectives found hundreds of images of very young children on his computer.

Members of the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit arrested Philip Jackson, 67, this morning at his home on Allen Ave. in Auburn.

Jackson was charged wtih possessing sexually explicit material and is being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.

Officials say Jackson is a truck driver who lives near the Auburn Middle School. None of the children depicted in the images found on Jackson's computer are believed to be from Maine, officials say.
