10/05/2012 03:01 PM ET

Harbor Master Charles Phippen says the boat was transporting passengers from Bar Harbor back to the Celebrity Summit when it hit a rocky shoal and became stuck.

BAR HARBOR, Maine (AP) _ Officials say no one was hurt when a boat carrying 93 cruise ship passengers ran aground off Bar Harbor, Maine.

Harbor Master Charles Phippen said the boat, a tender, was transporting passengers from Bar Harbor back to the Celebrity Summit when it hit a rocky shoal and became stuck.

It happened Thursday night at low tide in rainy weather.

Phippen tells WZON-AM that a fishing boat and a high-speed whale watch vessel, the Bay King III, came to the rescue to remove the passengers. Lt. Nick Barrow says the damaged tender has been taken out of service and the Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
