KENNEBUNK, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine have identified two more men accused of paying for sex with a woman who allegedly used her Zumba dance studio as a front for prostitution.
Sixty-four men have been charged in Kennebunk with engaging a prostitute, and many more are expected. A lawyer who's seen the client list says it contains more than 150 names.
Police Lt. Anthony Bean Burpee says only two names were released Friday because suspects are hiring lawyers and canceling interviews with investigators. He says some may deal directly with the prosecutor, eliminating the need for a police summons.
Twenty-nine-year-old Alexis Wright of nearby Wells has pleaded not guilty to 106 counts including prostitution, invasion of privacy, tax evasion and other charges. Her accused business partner also has pleaded not guilty.
