PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ King said Democratic Sen. Harry Reid called on election night to congratulate him and to open the door to discussions about caucusing with the party. But as of Friday, King hadn't heard from the Republican leadership, though he had received a call from Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee, who won re-election on Tuesday.
Maine Republican Sens. Snowe and Susan Collins also have reached out to King.
King will travel to Washington on Sunday to begin an orientation week of meetings. He said next week is the earliest he might make a decision on which party he'll caucus with.
