Maine's congressional delegates say that Reed and Reed of Woolwich has won the contract to do structural work on berths at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

KITTERY, Maine (AP) _ A Maine company has been awarded a $13 million U.S. Navy contract for work at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.

U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, said Wednesday that Reed and Reed of Woolwich has won the contract to do structural work on berths at the shipyard. The work will help to stabilize and strengthen berths and remove over 1,000 feet of unused railroad track.

Pingree says the work is expected to be completed by the fall of 2014.
