BANGOR, Maine (AP) _ Bangor police are investigating the death of a man who was found inside an idling van in a hospital parking lot.

Police said a security guard at St. Joseph's Hospital found the body shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday after noticing the van and looking inside to check.

Detectives say drug paraphernalia was found in the van and that they're investigating whether drugs played a role in the death.

Officials say the man has not yet been positively identified.
