LePage Declares Four More Maine Communities 'Business Friendly'
11/27/2012 03:38 PM ET

That's in addition to the 14 communities already granted the designation.

Four more Maine communities have made the state's "business-friendly" list. Gov. Paul LePage says the latest to be certified include Ellsworth, Fairfield, Kennebunk and Topsham.

That's in addition to the 14 communities already granted the designation.

To pass muster, communities have to meet certain criteria in the areas of customer service, business involvement and collaboration, input from the public and licensing and permitting.

Communities certified as business friendly receive a certificate and two Maine Department of Transportation road signs. LePage says they will also "become a key part of Maine's business attraction strategy."
