AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) _ Maine energy officials say the average cash price for heating oil has grown 2 cents from last week's price survey to $3.76 per gallon.
The weekly survey by the governor's energy office on Tuesday also showed the average kerosene price jumped 10 cents to $4.24 per gallon. Propane prices fell 1 cent from last week to $2.71 per gallon.
As for heating oil, the survey found a high of $4 in central Maine and a low of $3.53 in western Maine.
State officials say heating oil prices are trending upward and the Energy Information Administration says oil consumption will grow in 2013 because of the improved economy.
