Massachusetts State Police on Wednesday identified the driver of Tuesday night's crash in Georgetown, Mass., as 55-year-old Jeffrey Hamlin, of Charlestown, Maine.

GEORGETOWN, Mass. (AP) _ The driver of a bus carrying the University of Maine women's basketball team that ran off a highway north of Boston, leaving a player with a broken hand, remains in the hospital in serious condition.

Massachusetts State Police on Wednesday identified the driver of Tuesday night's crash in Georgetown, Mass., as 55-year-old Jeffrey Hamlin, of Charlestown, Maine. He was flown to Boston Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

Police say Hamlin is believed to have had a medical episode.

Freshman guard Milica Mitrovic, of Belgrade, Serbia, broke her hand and head coach Richard Barron was treated for facial cuts. Police say the bus crossed a median on Interstate 95 at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, veered across the northbound lanes and went down an embankment.

No other vehicles were involved.
