Warren Man Leads Police on 110 mph Chase

The chase Thursday on Interstate 290 started when a state trooper responding to reports of an erratic driver attempted to pull over a Cadillac in Yarmouth.

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) _ A Warren man who led police on a car chase that reached speeds of 110 miles per hour before he crashed, is facing a variety of charges.

The chase Thursday on Interstate 290 started when a state trooper responding to reports of an erratic driver attempted to pull over the Cadillac in Yarmouth.

The chase ended in Portland when the Cadillac went out of control and overturned at about 6:30 p.m.

The driver, 41-year-old Robby Beaulieu, was brought to Maine Medical Center with injuries not considered life threatening.

Police say Beaulieu had a suspended license for a number of offenses, including operating under the influence. Troopers found an open bottle of whiskey in his car.

Beaulieu is facing new charges including eluding a police officer and driving to endanger.
