ROCKPORT, Maine (AP) _ A Maine man who had to register for life on the state's sex offender list has been charged with raping a girl in his home.

State police said Friday that 54-year-old Arthur "Ron'' Dodge of Rockport is charged with gross sexual assault and unlawful contact.

He's being held on $50,000 bail at the Knox County Jail after his arrest on Thursday.

Police say the victim is a teenage girl. Dodge was convicted in 1990 of unlawful sexual contact and is required to be on the sex offender list for the rest of his life.
