4 Charged in Alleged Gray Retribution Attack

Authorities say they think the attempted break-in was retaliation for an assault that took place over the weekend at a Portland club.

GRAY, Maine (AP) _ Four men face terrorizing charges for allegedly trying to force their way into a Gray home in retaliation for a previous assault.

Police say the men cut power to the home and tried to kick in the door on Wednesday night.

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says the men were unable to get in and eventually left in a car. They were found in Cumberland.

No injuries were reported.

Police tell The Portland Press Herald (http://bit.ly/1eqVIvh ) they think the attempt was retaliation for an assault that took place over the weekend at a Portland club. The target of Wednesday's break-in attempt allegedly attacked one of the suspects.

They were identified as 49-year-old Andrew Thorne; 58-year-old Scott Lombardi; 58-year-old Michael Maietta; and 61-year-old Joseph Nightingale.

They are free on bail.
