Maine State Police say 63-year-old Leon Kelley was shot during a confrontation Sunday afternoon at Brown's Bee Farm in Yarmouth.

NORTH YARMOUTH, Maine (AP) _ An autopsy is expected Monday as detectives continue investigating the deadly shooting of a 63-year-old man at a bee farm in North Yarmouth.

Maine State Police say 63-year-old Leon Kelley was shot during a confrontation Sunday afternoon at Brown's Bee Farm in Yarmouth, a well-known business co-owned by Kelley's father-in law.

Police have identified the shooter as 70-year-old Merrill Kimball of Yarmouth, who is the husband of the other co-owner of the business. No charges have been filed.

Spokesman Steve McCausland says detectives are continuing to interview people and piece together the circumstances of the shooting. He says an autopsy is expected Monday.

It was unclear if Kimball had an attorney. Nobody answered at a phone number listed in his name.
