| Maine has once again won high marks for addressing the dental health of children. |
|
The Pew Center on the States, awarded Maine an "A" grade, and Maine Dental Association executive Director Cindy Sullivan says its a notable achievement.
"We were one of only two states that achieved the maximum points possible, we do understand that even with these high marks theres a lot of work to be done, but we're thrilled and we're one of only states that got an "A" two years in a row," said Sullivan.
The latest Pew report, released Tuesday, ranked states on four criteria that measure efforts to provide more children with access to dental sealants, which Sullivan says is a highly effective method of preventing tooth decay. |
