03/25/2013 10:13 AM ET

Authorities say Rayeann Milliken was driving the snowmobile with a passenger onboard when she tried to drive over a snowbank and lost control.

JACKMAN, Maine (AP) _ Authorities say a Jackman woman has been flown to a Bangor hospital following a snowmobile accident.

Game Warden Andrew Smart says Rayeann Milliken suffered a punctured thigh and lost a significant amount of blood after losing control of the snowmobile she was operating at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

Smart said Milliken was driving the snowmobile with a passenger in a field. He tells the Morning Sentinel she tried to drive over a snowbank but lost control, the sled flipped over, and landed on Milliken.

Her passenger, Tyler Varney, was not hurt.

Both are in their 20s.

The warden said inexperience operating a snowmobile was likely a factor.
