State officials say Harriet Soulen, 91, died from burns suffered a week ago after her clothes caught fire.

An elderly Brunswick woman has died from burns suffered when her clothes caught fire last week. Authorities say Harriet Soulen, 91, died overnight at Maine Medical Center.

Soulen was cooking at her home in Beech Drive Sept. 4, when her clothes caught fire. She was wearing a device that alerted a neighbor, who came to her aid.

Fire damage to the house was confined to the kitchen and an entry way, authorities say.
